MAJESTIC – Northern Lights Photo Print

PriceFrom 38,00€
  • Shot on 28 March 2017 at 00:37 in Nykarleby, Finland. I had been shooting Auroras at another location several times and decided to try this place. The little harbour turned out to be a perfect place to shoot the Northern Lights. The lonely harbour light at the end of the pier created a magic feeling.

The wind was strong and caused some trouble. I remembered it wasn’t cold, maybe just below zero, and I was warmly dressed. But the wind was so strong that it made the camera shake during exposure. I tried putting my body weight on the tripod while shooting but the stars still turned out as short lines due to the wind. Somehow it adds to the authentity when you know under what conditions the photo was taken.

The Aurora was moving, forming new shapes all the time. These double lines rose at the western horizon and faded out to the north-east. I remember shouting out loud in excitement although I was totally alone. It was nothing but Majestic! After almost two hours of shooting the Aurora calmed down a little and I felt it was time to head back home.

The complete story comes only with the Deluxe version so you can learn everything about it and be able to tell the story to anyone who sees it on your wall.
